I really like how intricate the bag is without sacrificing size and style. There's so much detail inside and out. Fits all my gear and more perfectly and keeps everything organized.
I feel that this bag encompasses all of the best elements of all of the bags I have looked at previously, and combines them into 1 bag: organisation, storage compartments, durability, breathability, and price. This bag kind of checks all of those boxes in my opinion. This bag is all about practicality and convenience. I really do think these guys have done a phenomenal job of creating a bag with all of the elements that a hockey player would need.
I've had my Conway and Banks bag for a few months now and I absolutely love it! The optional storage compartments are great for organizing everything. This bag is going to last a long time with its high quality material! I also love the extra features like a zip out mat, and mesh ventilation on the sides.
Fantastic Bag! Fits all my gear perfect, and looks great too!
I've been through 3 goalie/player bags before this, and by far this is the best bag I've had. Eventhough it's a player bag, I can comfortably store all my goalie gear and more. Big shout outs to @conwayandbanks for this sweet design!

Awesome Goalie Bag
My son wanted a bag that he could carry. He had a Grit tower bag for years, which had become small. I asked him if he wanted a bigger version of that same type of bag, and he said he wanted a bag he could carry. He is in high school now, and apparently, it is "uncool" to have a bag on wheels, at this age. I began comparing bags from other companies, when I ran across an advertisement for the Conway + Banks bag, which appeared to be everything I was looking for, and had many advantages over other bags on the market. I reached out to the staff at Conway + Banks, and was told that they were not yet ready to be ordered, but, they did have one Prototype bag available, so, I jumped at the chance. I needed the bag quickly, as my son's season had already started. Even with the difficulties with supply chain issues, they were able to get me the bag delivered to the US in less than a week. My son was so happy to receive this bag, as an early birthday present. He IMMEDIATELY took all of his gear out of his sloppy, unorganized Grit bag, and constructed the dividers the way he wanted them, and put all his gear in his new Conway + Banks bag. Here are the great features of this bag: 1. The zippers are AWESOME quality. A great bag, can't be great, if the zippers break, but this bag has GREAT zippers. They move smoothly, and they never have any "catch snags". You can move all the zippers in one fluid motion. 2. The open, aerating ends of the bag are an absolute Godsend. There is virtually ZERO bag odor now...can you imagine an odorless hockey bag??? This is as close as you will ever get. Just make sure you take your used jersey and socks out of the bag each night, and you will have a virtually odorless bag. The open air ends of this bag REALLY WORK!!! 3. The material of the bag is AWESOME. It literally feels like the strength of a TARP, with the smoothness that allows the bag to "slide through" tight areas. Because the bag has a smooth outer surface, when you walk in tight areas, or have to squeeze past other player bags, it slides right by, without getting stuck. 4. The top, outside pocket for your game, or practice jersey, and undergarments, IS AMAZING!!! It saves a lot of time, and hassle of trying to find lose clothing. It is all there, right on top, and can be accessed from the outside of the bag, as well as the inside. It also keeps them separated from your gear. This is a great advantage! 5. We have found the shoulder strap to be PERFECT. It is sturdy, and comfortable. The two straps which are joined together in a Velcro enclosure, sit perfectly together, and do not rotate. It makes for a very comfortable carry. 6. Now...to the main feature that really had me interested in this bag...THE MODIFIABLE DIVIDERS. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You are able to attach the dividers to Velcro strips that run the length of each inner side if the bag. This allows you to create different sized compartments in different areas of the bag, to house the gear, where you want it. We created the compartments as follows. We first put his Chesty in the center of the bag, and used two dividers to surround it, since the Chesty is the biggest piece of gear. Then, he created a section for his goalie pants, with his blocker and catching glove on top. The final compartment houses his helmet, knee pads, and skates. These dividers really keep everything organized in the bag. His old "tower" bag, was always like opening an overfilled closet, and everything would spill out, when he opened the bag. The Conway + Banks bag keeps everything EXACTLY where he wants it, and the separation of gear keeps everything drier, and with the aerated ends...ODOR FREE! 7. The yellow bottom of the bag, will surprise you, in how well it allows you to see everything inside the bag. With the yellow background, you can actually see smaller items that are darker, that you would otherwise have to "feel around for". Now, you can actually see everything in the bag. Also, the bottom is constructed of very sturdy material, and also assists in odor elimination. 8. There is a small mesh, inside pocket in the bag that has been PERFECT for keys, cell phone, wallet, a roll of stick tape, a small screw driver, and small tools for my son's skates, and helmet. It's always good to have those on hand, just in case! I hope the later versions of this bag keep the EXACT same style, but add two wheels on one end. Even though it might not be cool for high school kids, it would DEFINITELY BE COOL FOR DAD, that sometimes has to bring the bag in the house, or deliver it to the rink. I HIGHLY recommend this bag. The team at Conway + Banks have put a lot of thought and care into this bag. It is very well thought out, and constructed. I could not be happier with the performance of the bag.
Good Afternoon, So this was a Christmas gift for me and boy was it! The bag is absolutely huge, plenty of space for anything and everything. The construction is very durable, I've only used it for a few weeks, but so far it doesn't show any signs of wear and tear. The best part is that it is definitely big enough for any goalie to pack gear in the manner in which it is put on and you don't have to take anything out until you are ready to put it on. Absolutely amazing! So I will start with the fact that I play roller hockey not ice hockey, but I do wear ice hockey gear as I play with a puck occasionally. While the pads for under the skates are nice, they aren't used in my application. You are supplied with 3 dividers, I only use 2 and can't imagine what a 3rd would be used for, however only one of them comes with a pocket. It would be nice if all of them had pockets just to put tape or any tools into them, nothing bulky. All of my gear is senior size so it takes up a lot of room, but this bag has plenty and some to spare. I put my skates and helmet in one section, chest and pants in another and my glove and blocker in the last section. I can't see anyway of getting my leg pads into the zippered section. A clipped strap is included on the outside of the bag to put the pads in, but that wouldn't work for me as I would never be able to carry the bag if I put the pads in the clipped holder and that is fine with me. The shoulder strap is great and very comfortable, my opinion is if you strap your pads using the buckle the shoulder strap isn't long enough. Without your pads on top it is the perfect length. As I said I don't strap them on and it is just perfect for me. For some miscellaneous stuff, the water bottle holder is great, the zipper cover with access from inside or outside is wonderful and the little bag for wet clothes is good but could be a little bigger. All of those items are great addons to this superior bag! Overall the bag is superior to anything that I have seen and as long as the bag withstands the tests of time, it will be the best bag to date! Here are a couple of my recommendations. The buckle straps for the leg pads, if they could be removable would be great if your specific application doesn't work. Another option that I have seen would be to include back pack straps on the underside of the bag so that you can strap your leg pads and then it doesn't matter if the shoulder strap is too short. As stated earlier, include pockets on each of the dividers. The last item that I would like to state and I need to get some more time with the bag to sort this out. Currently I put my skates in a divider on the outside and it makes the bag uneven as far as weight goes. I want to try to get my skates more towards the middle where the strap is or split them up one on each end. Maybe have a pocket on each end for 1 skate to balance out the weight. Like I said I need to play around with how everything fits and works so that the weight balance is better. Once again overall the bag is superior to anything that I have had or seen, would recommend it to anyone! Great job! Brian J
Review of Goalie bag after a a couple months of use
Great bag, my favorite so far. would love to see an option for backpack / travel straps. Laundry bag is not really useful, too small for my use.
Fantastic Goalie Bag but you are going to have to carry it.....
This bag is fantastic if you have no problem carrying a goalie bag with all the stuff in it and prefer to carry your pads outside the bag. I'm 51 and the past 10 years Ive used wheel bags. This was my first goalie bag without wheels. Here are my cons and pros: Cons- 1. It does get heavy after a skate...my total weight for my bag with everything in it was about 55 lbs. That's a lot to slug over your shoulder after a skate. 2. If you want to put the pads inside along with everything else, there is no way to have the dividers in the bag. 3. Like all bags it tends to get bulky with all the gear in there and the bacteria resistant foot mat that is included in the bag could be a little bigger. 4. Finally, I do kind of wish it had wheels. Pros- 1. The bag is HUGE and can carry everything if you remove the dividers. 2. If you use the dividers in the bag you can choose how big the compartments will be ... i.e. small for helmet, big for chesty and pants, small for skates, ect. 3. The construction of the bag is fantastic....particularly the zipper. I can't tell you how many bags I used in the past and after about 10 zips, the zipper seems to tear. 4. If you use the dividers, it is easy to load and unpack the bag especially if you have a routine to make sure you don't leave something behind. 5. The sides of the bag have mesh so the equipment can "breath". 6. The inside of the top has another pocket for the mat and any other items. 7. There is even a laundry bag clipped into the bag itself...so no loose laundry floating around. 8. Outside the bag is an outside pocket for extra odds and ends ...it's great for pucks and mini towel to wipe off your skates 9. It can squeeze into smaller places than a wheeled bag. Overall, I like the bag a lot. It has many pros then Cons....I've adapted to a carrying goalie bag because I love the fact the everything is organized. I do struggle with carrying the bag after a skate but I believe in due time and more playing ... it will be easier to handle. I would definitely recommend getting this bag based on the way it is made, what it comes with, and how it can organize the most disorganized goalie.
So far so good
Bag is what Id hoped for so far. Its plenty big for my full size adult gear. Has a smaller footprint than my last goalie bag but is taller so still roomy. Dividers are a bit of a pain to setup but once set they're solidly mounted so its worth it.
So far I have zero complaints. The construction is excellent, the quality of the materials is right up there as well. The zippers and all other components feel good and work very well. All my tendy equipment fits with room to spare. Absolutely in love with this bag.
I received the beta version of the goalie bag. First impressions; bag is huge, well thought out, and I love having the ability to change the layout. One of the nice perks is having the ability to add your jerseys after you've packed everything. The water bottle holder is a great touch. It's not just a huge bag to throw your gear in. I'm very satisfied with the goalie bag. If you are thinking about buying one, just do it.
I'm a big guy and you know what they say about big guys. Big pads. Xl chest pants and 36+3 legs. It all fits but the carry straps are too short to carry comfortably. The mesh zipper under the top flap should be Reversible so you can open from out side the bag. I can't recommend this bag yet. Maybe after the improvements
