What is this?
This is an optional item that we add onto every order to protect you, based on feedback other customers have provided to us. We add this in because customers got tired of porch pirates, and parcels being lost by couriers.
Is this required?
No, it is optional, you may remove it from the cart if you wish.
Why keep it?
Without the package protection, you have to file a claim with the courier if the parcel is lost during transit and hope for reimbursement. If the parcel was stolen from you (for example - off your porch), your only recourse is filing a police report and hoping it turns up, or that your credit card company would provide you with coverage. With the package protection, if the item is lost during transit, we will chase down the courier and also send you a replacement within a week rather than make you wait through the entire parcel tracing process, which can sometimes take over 30 days. For porch theft, we can replace the parcel for you once you provide proof you've submitted a police police report (this helps us prevent abuse and keep cost low for you).
What else?
In the case you want to exchange or return the item, our normal policy is 15 days, but you must pay for the shipping cost back to us. If you have our "Free Return Label + Package Protection", then we provide this exchange/return label to you free of charge. These return labels can often cost $30-50 depending on the item you are purchasing.
